Sunrise-to-Dusk – JCAM Cemetery Hours

JCAM cemeteries are open daily from 9:00 am until dusk. The cemeteries are closed every Shabbat (Saturdays) but re-open again on Sunday mornings.

JCAM’s Covid-19 Protocol maintains that a minimum of 6-feet of physical distance must be kept between each person or family unit at graveside and on all cemetery roadways and grounds.

If attendees are not able to adhere to a 6-foot distance, then the number of people at the gravesite must be reduced for the well-being of all. Masks are no longer required to be worn on cemetery grounds.

Please be aware that during snow and ice storms, our cemeteries may close earlier than sunset for the safety of our visitors. Cemeteries may remain closed, except for funerals, until the cemetery roadways are passable and safe.

Additionally, in observance of specific Jewish holidays: Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Sukkot, Shemini Atzeret, Simchat Torah, Pesach, and Shavuot, the cemeteries as well as our business office are closed.

"I visited my father's grave last week and I was pleased to see the cemetery in such wonderful condition. In fact all the cemeteries in that area (Pride of Boston) look well cared for.  Your organization should be proud of its accomplishments."

"With the help of your Web site, we were able to do a mitzvah and traveled to Boston from our home in New York to visit our mother's parents and brother's graves at Chevra Shas Cemetery in West Roxbury and were impressed by the wonderful condition of the cemetery. We thank you for your excellent website that enabled us to locate the cemetery."
